If it's Not One Thing, it's Another

Going to restaurants is a challenge for my family. For most of his life, my younger son Mason has been an extremely picky eater. He would not eat bread, meat or cheese. Bread. Meat. Cheese. These are build blocks of most things on most menus -- pizza, burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, quesadillas. He would each pasta ("just pasta, no cheese, no cheese!"), beans ("no cheese or salsa, please!"), a bowl of rice. Before going to restaurants, I have to check the menus to make sure they have at least pasta, french fries, rice or beans. We have been disappointed to find out that their rice is Spanish rice, or it only comes with cilantro, or their food just doesn't "look right."

We picked up Mason from two weeks at sleep away camp where he tried everything, and like most of it. He's ready to go anywhere! When we picked him up, we went to San Francisco for the weekend, and had our dog with us. Now we have a new challenge -- finding dog-friendly restaurants!
